Access Policy and Security
Viper prevents misuse and error on the platform by controlling exactly what each one of its users can and can not do. Wholesalers and retailers create custom security groups, which define exactly which commands that its members can and can not execute. Individuals or organisations can be added or removed from these groups when appropriate.
With Viper's security system, wholesalers and retailers can:
- Create user groups to match a job role, such as support staff, management or accounting.
- Restrict access to areas of functionality to certain individuals or groups. For example, allow only accounting staff to reverse credit card charges
- Allow a type of end-user to purchase one type of service, but not another
- Allow a retailer to sell one type of service, but not another
