Metering, Rating and Reporting
Viper measures the usage of all of its services by all of its users, whether they are wholesalers, retailers, or end-users.
For retailers, it measures the usage of services by its end-users, levying a customised charge for that usage. For wholesalers, it measures the sales of services by its retailers to end-users, levying a customised charge for those sales.
Metering
Viper's metering tools offer full transparency of service usage. Many aspects of usage can be measured, including service usage durations, data transfers and services sold.
Rating
With a comprehensive metering system, wholesalers and retailers can easily establish their price point and make swift modifications to meet changes in the market. With Viper, wholesalers and retailers create customised 'rating plans', letting them charge whatever they want for their services, for the type of usage they want, including:
- Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly charges
- Time-based charges
- Download-based charges
- Setup and cancellation charges
- Excess usage charges
- Peak and off-peak charges
Reporting
Viper's powerful reporting tool lets wholesalers and retailers quickly spot the winners, the losers, and the reasons. Using the data generated by the metering and rating systems, it collates usage and rating data into numerous reports about the usage, sale, and status of all of Viper’s services. Reporting data can also be exported into third-party reporting tools.
Included reports collate data on:
- Service Usage
- User activity
- Top users and services
- Accounting and reconciliation
- Service sales
- Authorisation and security
- Credits and debits
