Martin J Wells
Founder and Director
In an extensive career in Information Technology, Martin has experience in both technical development and leadership with companies such as Fujitsu, IBM, Aspect and Unisys.
Possessed with an entrepreneurial spirit, Martin founded one of Australia's first internet service providers, Intercom Pacific, in 1995 which he later managed through its transformation into one of Australia’s largest providers of telecommunications software.
Martin is the creator of Viper, Dot’s telecommunications services management platform, which is now used by more than 100 ISPs and carriers to deliver hundreds of thousands of end-user services.
In 2005 Martin went on to found another startup, Tangler, soon after the hiring of Rory Brennan as CEO of Dot. Martin maintains his roles as Director and principal at Dot. Martin is also an award-winning book author on advanced Java development.
Scott Garnett
Executive Director
Educated in Australia and the US, Scott began his career
in corporate finance advisory in Australia, the US and
the UK. Specialising in acquisitions and advisory
services for Ernst & Young and then HSBC, Scott focused
on a number of industries including entertainment, media
and financial services.
Scott then relocated to the UK and moved to the
private sector joining United Pan-Europe Communications
(AEX and NASDAQ quoted), focusing on corporate
acquisitions and strategy.
Scott joined Dot Communications in 2001 to manage and
commercialise the company as a leading provider of
enterprise-grade virtualisation software and managed
services.
Scott is the founder and Managing Director of
Barons Brewing, an award winning independent premium
brewing company based in Sydney.
Scott is currently on the board of three Australian private companies.
J. Alexander von Kotze
Non-Executive Director
Alex commenced his career in London with what is today's AON insurance group, progressing to the position of director responsible for political risk business emanating from clients in Northern Europe, Australia and South Africa.
Alex subsequently joined FTSE 100 company Rothmans International Group as Exec. Asst. to the Group Chairman, concentrating upon M&A business and serving as the day-to-day conduit between Chairman and senior managers around the globe. Later after holding several operational management positions with Rothmans, Alex served as General Manager of their business in Thailand.
In 1996 Alex joined Dot Communications as a director and has immersed himself in the business of technology ever since. Alex is presently an executive director of Web 2.0 company Tangler.

Rory Brennan
Chief Executive Officer
Rory joined Dot in 2005, at a time when the company was entering into a phase of commercial growth through sales of the Viper platform. Rory has significant international experience in many areas of IT solutions and services, most notably in the Telecommunications, IT Security and Financial Services industries.
He has held a number of senior management positions and had most recently managed his own business, offering market development consulting to technology start-ups in a number of countries.
